Focus T25 BETA Cycle Review

Focus T25 BETA Cycle

The first five weeks of the Beachbody’s Focus T25 was spent with the Alpha Cycle and now it’s time to step up to another level. The Focus T25 Beta Cycle has more advanced movements and the workouts are more intense. After the first five weeks of Alpha you should have improved your endurance and strength.

Like the Alpha Cycle the Beta Cycle is 25 minutes per workout and it takes five weeks to complete the whole cycle. There are still double workouts on Fridays and they are brutal. Every Saturday is to help your body to recover and Sunday is for stretching.

Focus T25 Beta Cycle – Core Cardio

The Core Cardio is a progressive cardio workout that focuses on the core.  Although it does involve the core more than Alpha Cardio and standard cardio workouts do, this is a cardio workout with little bit focus on the core.

The Beta Core Cardio has some same moves as the Alpha Cardio has, but the pace in Core Cardio workout is slightly faster. If you did the 5 weeks Alpha Cycle, you are familiar with most of the moves and you should be able to focus on really pushing it.

Focus T25 Beta Cycle – Speed 2.0

The Speed 1.0 in the Alpha Cycle was efficient but the Speed 2.0 takes it to the next level. The Speed 2.0 workout demands that you are fast on your feet and it almost felt like I was dancing during the workout.

The workout consists of 2 rounds of exercises that you will be repeating 3 times. For each time, you repeat them you will do them for less time, but slightly faster. After that, you will be doing both rounds back to back 3 times. The workout was actually quite fun. For the whole workout, I just was trying to keep up with the moves and I forgot that how tired I was and the time just flew by.

Focus T25 Beta Cycle – Rip’T Circuit

The Rip’T Circuit workout is for upper body, legs, abs and has cardio also. This workout requires light dumbbells or resistance bands. With the added resistance, the workout will improve your muscular endurance for the whole body and the cardio is to keep the heartrate up. The Rip’T Circuit workout is different from the previous workouts in the Focus T25.

I enjoyed doing cardio with weights and the fact that there wasn’t any particular number of sets to do, but as many as I could during the time given. I recommend that you go with the lighter dumbbells for the first time, so you can complete the entire workout. This is a workout that will increase your muscle definition in your body.

Focus T25 Beta Cycle – Dynamic Core

From vertical to horizontal, this is a workout for your core with cardio. The Dynamic Core workout has got some same moves as the Ab Intervals in the Alpha Cycle has, but the Beta Dynamic Core workout has got more cardio in it. The Dynamic Core is also faster paced and it’s more challenging to get through.

The first 16 exercises are done on your feet and they are mainly cardio moves that target your core. The final half of the Dynamic Core workout is done on the ground doing ab exercises.

Focus T25 Beta Cycle –  Upper Focus

An upper-body workout that will target every muscle above the waist. For the workout, you will be needing dumbbells or resistance bands. The workout is designed to build muscular endurance to your shoulders, arms, back, chest and core. It’s still circuit training but with weights.  This is similar to the the Rip’T Circuit workout but this workout doesn’t target your legs. The pace of this workout is less rough on your heart, but intense for your upper muscles.
